IFAB for Businesses and
IFAB acts as a bridge between high-performance computing technologies and services and the needs of businesses and society. Big Data, Artificial Intelligence, Quantum Computing and, more generally, High Performance Computing systems represent an enormous opportunity for industry, medicine and the energy sector, but also for the management of water and food resources, for resilience to climate change, for transport and urban systems. Enormous potential that must take tangible form in real-life projects, such as the ones the Foundation selects in its Calls for projects, or which take shape within national and international networks like the National HPC Centre and the EuroCC Italy Competence Centre, of which IFAB forms part.

In particular, IFAB addresses small and medium-sized businesses and their associations with the aim of helping them rise to their challenges and generate a real impact, guiding them towards technological innovation. The Foundation is able to outline the emerging and future prospects of scientific and technological development and of the ongoing transformations in production, acting as an independent and influential international point of reference for businesses interested in Big Data, Artificial Intelligence, HPC and Quantum Computing.

IFAB promotes and funds innovative projects in key sectors for business development, including engineering and materials science, the sciences of the universe and space, climate change, precision medicine and mobility. Thanks to new digital technologies, these projects examine and address topical questions with a new approach that places scientific systems in relation to economic and educational systems
