The complexity of the challenges that regard safeguarding life on our planet and its ecosystem, climate change, accessible energy and food for all, education and training, the treatment of diseases and protection from epidemics – to name just a few of the most salient issues – requires a brand new approach that brings science systems into relation with production and education systems. Only through the integrated action of these three sectors will open, inclusive and sustainable human development become possible.

The Foundation wants to direct its research towards this area, through a cross-disciplinary approach, applied to specific fields. Four groups of national experts have been set up so far with the goal of identifying research paths and applied projects in the fields of:

The groups are joined by the Advisory Board, team of experts tasked with developing new methods for the elaboration of scenarios with which to investigate possible answers to the major challenges of the 2030 Agenda.
