To do so, it makes use of the fundamental contribution of <a href=\"\/?page_id=8177\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">E3CI<\/a> (European Extreme Events Climate Index), the index &#8211; made thanks to the contribution of IFAB, <a href=\"https:\/\/leitha.eu\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Leith\u00e0 Unipol<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cmcc.it\/it\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">CMCC<\/a> &#8211; that studies the impacts of extreme weather events to understand them, measure them and predict their scope.<\/p>\n<p>Designed to increase the resilience of the whole Italian agri-food sector, the project offers companies an innovative digital tool &#8211; the <strong>ADA Tool web app<\/strong> &#8211; that allows to:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>increase user awareness about climate change issues and impacts on weather scenarios<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>know the dangers to which a farm is exposed in terms of potentially extreme events<\/strong> (wind, drought, hail, late frosts)<\/li>\n<li><strong>raise awareness about the damage prevention actions to be taken in the management and programming of farm activities<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Thanks to the implementation of the E3CI index, the ADA Tool web app allows players in the agri-food sector to significantly improve their decision-making process on the measures to be taken to address climate risks and avoid productive damage, with a view to productive efficiency in the name of resilience.<\/p>\n<p>The project &#8211; currently implemented in an experimental way Emilia-Romagna, Veneto, Tuscany and Lazio involving 6,000 farmers &#8211; is coordinated by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.unipolsai.it\/homepage\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Unipolsai Assicurazioni S.p.A<\/a>., financed by the European Union and realized thanks to the contribution of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.arpae.it\/it\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Arpae Emilia-Romagna<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cia.it\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">CIA &#8211; Agricoltori Italiani<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.crea.gov.it\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">CREA-PB<\/a>, Festambiente (<a href=\"https:\/\/agricoltura.legambiente.it\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Legambiente<\/a>), <a href=\"http:\/\/www.legacoopagroalimentare.coop\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Legacoop Agroalimentare Nord Italia<\/a>, Leith\u00e0 Unipol and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.regione.emilia-romagna.it\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Regione Emilia-Romagna<\/a>.
