IFAB featured on Coffee Tech (La7): eyes on the present and future of mobility

Digital transformation is no longer a distant horizon: it is the engine reshaping the mobility of today and tomorrow. These were the core themes addressed by Marta Carboni, Digital Transformation Manager at IFAB, who joined the latest episode of Coffee Tech, the La7 format dedicated to technological innovation and the trends driving change across the Italian and European economy.
The episode focused entirely on the evolution of smart mobility, a sector where the integration of Artificial Intelligence, high-intensity data and supercomputing infrastructures is opening new opportunities for businesses, public administrations and citizens.

During the interview, Carboni illustrated how AI is transforming every layer of the mobility system: from flow planning to transport monitoring, from road safety to environmental impact. This shift requires advanced computational capacity, complex datasets and specialist expertise — elements that IFAB provides through its ecosystem of HPC and supercomputing at the Tecnopolo di Bologna, one of the most advanced infrastructures in Europe.

Carboni also highlighted how the Foundation works daily to support companies, SMEs and startups in developing data-driven solutions, guiding them through experimentation and the adoption of emerging technologies. This commitment translates into high-quality training, technical-scientific advisory services and access to the expertise offered by IFAB’s network of member organizations.
