Four research fellowships promoted by Università di Bologna to step into the professional world through a hands-on, paid, and highly technological experience. IFAB – International Foundation Big Data and Artificial Intelligence for Human Development – is proud to support the new industrial research project “SAFE” developed in collaboration with three outstanding Italian companies: SECO, Bonfiglioli, and Tampieri.
A concrete opportunity to drive innovation
The project will run from July 1st to December 31st, 2025, and is aimed at motivated young individuals ready to tackle real-world challenges in the food, chemical, and energy industries. These scholarships, designed also for those seeking a gradual transition into the job market, offer a valuable chance to enhance one’s professional profile through applied research under the scientific guidance of industry partners.
Goal: safety and performance in industry, powered by ai
This initiative is part of the SAFE project, focused on developing advanced predictive models for anomaly detection in rotating machinery. At the core of the research are cutting-edge technologies such as LSTM neural networks, generative AI algorithms (GANs), and optimization techniques for deployment on edge microcontrollers. The developed system will be validated both in lab settings and directly on-site with industrial partners, aiming to significantly boost operational safety and production efficiency.
Applications open until june 16th
Applications are open until June 16, 2025. IFAB encourages driven and talented individuals to submit their CVs (in any format), along with a cover letter—strongly recommended—explaining how they plan to contribute to the project and tackle the expected challenges.
