Among the most significant projects promoted and funded by IFAB, the European Extreme Events Climate Index (E3CI) focuses on mapping and analyzing the impacts of climate change across national and European territories by collecting and monitoring data on extreme weather events.
As part of its annual activities, the E3CI team has curated the publication of the report “How is Italy Doing?” for the 2023/24 biennium. Written by IFAB with the support of the Fondazione CMCC and Leithà Gruppo Unipol, project partners, “How is Italy Doing?” provides a detailed analysis of the extreme weather events that have affected Italy, highlighting their dangerous impacts on geographical areas, productive sectors, and communities.
To support new opportunities for mitigation, reaction, and resilience, the report also includes in-depth insights into the practical applications of the European Extreme Events Climate Index. These applications can be valuable for businesses, organizations, and public administrations in their strategic planning efforts.
