The project ‘Tornatura’, proposed and coordinated by IFAB, has been selected by the ‘CrescerAI’ call for proposals from the Fondo per la Repubblica Digitale.
The mission of the ‘Tornatura’ project, proposed and coordinated by IFAB in partnership with Confcooperative Emilia-Romagna, Lega Coop Bologna, CNR ISAC, the Department of Agricultural and Food Sciences at the University of Bologna, and Leithà Unipol Group, is to create an app capable of quantifying and predicting problems caused by plant pathogens and optimizing treatments, thereby reducing damage to fruit and vegetable production.
The project, officially selected by the ‘CrescerAI’ call promoted by the Fondo per la Repubblica Digitale and Google.org, can now move into the development phase: its implementation will provide Italian farmers with a powerful tool for planning activities and managing phytosanitary emergencies.
