On Friday, June 7th, at 8:45 am, the concluding event of IFAB 4 Next Generation Talents 2024, the Foundation’s program dedicated to training and engaging young university students, will take place with an exceptional appointment. Professor Luciano Floridi, Director of the Digital Ethics Center at Yale University, and Professor Paola Manes, Full Professor at the University of Bologna, will hold a joint seminar on a topic of extraordinary importance today: the relationship between ethics and Artificial Intelligence, between technology and social impacts.
The seminar will be attended by the 100 university students selected for the program, made possible with the support of five sponsoring companies – Alstom, Bonfiglioli, Crif, Emil Banca, and Prometeia – and in collaboration with BOOM.
Thanks to IFAB 4 Next Generation Talents, launched in January, students have had the opportunity to attend seminars with distinguished experts of international level, exploring the applications of Artificial Intelligence in various domains. Subsequently, they worked in groups to solve some challenges posed by the sponsoring companies of the program: guided by corporate mentors, they applied the knowledge and skills acquired in their academic paths to devise a solution that met concrete business needs. At the end of the concluding event, the winning groups of the corporate challenges will have the opportunity to showcase the product of their work and will be evaluated by an exceptional jury that will award a symbolic prize to the best group.
The event will take place at BOOM, at Via Piemonte 6, in Osteria Grande, Castel San Pietro Terme (Bologna).
