Artificial Intelligence and Industry: a new IFAB 4 Next Generation Talent event reflects on opportunities and risks

The IFAB 4 Next Generation Talents program seminars continue with a talk by Prof. Michela Milano, Full Professor at the Department of Computer Science – Science and Engineering at the University of Bologna and Director of the Interdepartmental Center Alma Mater Research Institute for Human-Centered Artificial Intelligence.

The seminar will discuss the main applications of artificial intelligence in the industrial field. Artificial Intelligence can indeed improve production, maintenance, logistics, energy consumption, and strategic planning. However, it is important to understand what the barriers to the adoption of Artificial Intelligence are and what risks need to be aware of.

To concretely investigate the industry’s relationship with Artificial Intelligence, Dr. Massimiliano Vignoli will intervene in the second part of the seminar, bringing the testimony of Bonfiglioli’s experience – one of the sponsoring companies of the 2024 edition – in applying Artificial Intelligence techniques to production processes.

Below is the information on the event program.
