A Seminar on Big Data, Supercomputing and AI: kicking off IFAB4NGT 2024

The 2024 edition of the IFAB 4 Next Generation Talents program will be inaugurated with a seminar titled ‘From Bologna, to Italy, to the World: Big Data, Supercomputing and AI for Research and Innovation‘, by Prof. Daniele Bonacorsi, Full Professor at the Department of Physics and Astronomy at the University of Bologna.

During the seminar, the professor will introduce the 100 young participants, university students from all disciplines, to the extraordinary context offered by the Bologna and Emilia-Romagna territory, also thanks to the emerging Technopole that houses the Leonardo supercomputer, one of the most powerful in the world. He will explain the fundamentals of supercomputing and Artificial Intelligence as two elements that allow, like never before, the processing of large quantities and varieties of data, opening the way to new frontiers of research and industrial application.

Dr. Pierpaolo Cristaudo will focus his intervention on the concrete impacts on the business world, bringing a testimony of CRIF’s experience – one of the sponsoring companies of the 2024 edition – in applying Artificial Intelligence techniques.

Below are the details of the event program.
