Quantum Computing in Italy: IFAB at the Politecnico di Milano event

The significant event “Quantum Revolution: Italy, are you (getting) ready?” took place on November 23th, 2023, organised by the Quantum Computing & Communication Observatory of the Politecnico di Milano. Among the invited guests to discuss was the Director of IFAB, Marco Becca, who presented to more than 500 representatives from the business world the activities of the Foundation and the prospects of the Bologna Technopole and the Observatory of the National Research Centre in HPC, Big Data, and Quantum Computing.

High Performance Computing technologies are indeed redesigning all strategies of innovation, growth, and development for companies, institutions, and countries: through the application of Quantum Computing, businesses, Public Administrations, and communities can experience significant accelerations. In this scenario, what role do Italy and its business ecosystem play? These themes were the focus of the meeting, which saw the participation of numerous representatives from the productive world, both national and international.

Curating the event was the Quantum Computing & Communication Observatory of the Politecnico di Milano – a primary stakeholder in HPC themes – with whom IFAB will collaborate in the creation and promotion of the Observatory and the National Research Centre in HPC, Big Data, and Quantum Computing.
