IFAB and Society 4.0 at “Futuri (im)possibili,” the national conference by Italian Institute for the Future

The conference titled “Futuri (Im)possibili” celebrates the ten years of activity of the Italian Institute for the Future. Scheduled to take place in Naples from September 28th to 30th, 2023, this national event aims to imagine, outline, and design the development scenarios of society in collaboration with the most prominent representatives from the worlds of academia, science, research, institutions, the economic sector, and industry.

Within the rich program of the event, IFAB is also featured, with its session titled “Society 4.0: Governance of New Technologies.” This session is scheduled for 4:30 PM on Friday, September 29th, at Villa Capodimonte. During the panel discussion, which will include participation from IFAB’s representatives Eleonora Barelli, Eleonora Ocello the topics surrounding the challenges of technological transfer within societies will be addressed. There will be a specific focus on the activities of the National Center for Research in High-Performance Computing, Big Data, and Quantum Computing’s Observatory, of which the Foundation has recently become the official manager.

Recently established, the Observatory aims to connect research institutions, large enterprises, SMEs, startups, administrations, and interest communities to embark on paths of acceleration and technological development. Its goal is to enhance productive performance and contribute to sustainable growth.
