IFAB at We Make Future 2023: three events on technological innovation

As every year, “We Make Future” International Fair and Festival on Technological and Digital Innovation is about to return to Rimini. The event will take place at the city’s exhibition center from June 15th to 17th. It is a crucial appointment for professionals and enthusiasts of innovation and development in the fields of technology, business, and society. IFAB is honored to participate with three specific thematic events. Here are more details.

Event I – “Supercomputing: Challenges and Opportunities for Businesses”
Area: “Supercomputing for PMI”
16th June, 9.20 am

A panel discussion on the present and future scenarios outlined by the introduction of HPC (High-Performance Computing) technologies within productive and industrial sectors.
Featuring: Marco Becca (Director – IFAB), Carlo Battistini (President – Chamber of Commerce of Romagna), Marco Bubani (Innovation Director – VEM), Fabio Celli (Senior Data Scientist – Maggioli Group), Eric Pascolo (HPC – Cineca, Project Leader – EuroCC Italy), Giacomo Barigazzi (Head of Corporate Development – Axyon AI).

Event II – “E3CI: The Index of Extreme Weather Events”
Area: “Climate Change”
16th June, 15 pm
An in-depth speech on E3CI (European Extreme Events Climate Index), a fundamental tool for monitoring, measuring, and predicting extreme weather events. Presented by Guido Rianna (CMCC Climate).

Event III – “Towards a European Data Law (EU Data Act): Much Ado About Nothing?”
Area: “Legal Tech”
16th June, 9.20 pm

An in-depth speech on the legislative scenarios regarding Big Data within the context of the European Union. Presented by Federico Casolari (Professor of European Union Law – UniBo).
