IFAB participates in the kick-off meeting of the second phase of EuroCC

The Foundation participates in the launch event of EuroCC2, that takes place from the 7th to the 9th of February, in Stuttgart, Germany, as a partner of Competence Center EuroCC Italy.

The second phase of EuroCC takes off. The European network of Competence Centers – wanted and promoted by the EU in 2018 –, through the collaboration among research institutions, public administration and businesses, wants to stimulate and support innovation in the production system of European countries.

IFAB joins the event, together with other members of Competence Center EuroCC Italy: Bi-Rex, Cineca, Dompé and Leonardo. The goal of this kick-off meeting is to gather all representatives of NCCs network (National Competence Centers) to pave the way for future collaborations for the development of skills, technologies and application in the fields of High-Performance Computing (HPC), High Performance Data Analytics (HPDA) and Artificial Intelligence (AI).

EuroCC Italy achieved important results during its very first period of financing:

  • The activation of collaborations with 4 partner countries
  • The activation of 13 technological transfer projects to fulfil the needs of the industrial sector
  • The activation of 13 training courses for 180 Italian enterprises
  • The activation of a 2-million euros funding for Italian SMES
