During the event ALEC ROSS AND IFAB YOUNG TALENTS: UNLEASHING POTENTIAL, Alec Ross will deepen geopolitical and geoeconomical issues focusing on their relationship with the world of young people and work, starting from his book “The Raging 2020s: Companies, Countries, People and the Fight for Our Future”.
IFAB young talents interview Alec Ross, asking for concrete pieces of advice to rewrite a social contract in order to face the challenges imposed by the pandemic, economic and climate crisis. Ross will discuss important themes like digitalization, innovation and education, with a special focus on the duty of investing on skills and training, in order to make young people’s labour market positioning more competitive in Italy.

IFAB 4 Next Generation Talents
IFAB 4 Next Generation Talents is a program designed to attract young students to help them developing and promoting their projects. The project aims to involve in a direct and systematic way a group of University students of various faculties (STEM and HUMANITIES) to train a team of young people on the topics relevant to IFAB, exploring the role that Artificial Intelligence and Big Data can play in facing future issues, in order to make easier the hybridization of skills and starting new projects.
Who is Alec Ross?
Alec Ross is an American author, entrepreneur and technology policy expert: he was Senior Advisor for Innovation to Secretary of State Hillary Clinton for the duration of her term as Secretary of State and he served as the Convener for the Technology & Media Policy Committee on Barack Obama’s 2008 presidential campaign. He is Distinguished Adjunct Professor of Bologna Business School, member of IFAB International Scientific Board and New York Times bestselling author.
