June 10, “Circular Economy and Innovation towards the Green Deal” Webinar – materials published (slides and video)

On June 10th 2021, from 15.30 pm to 16.45 pm, IFAB, in collaboration with University of Ferrara, will present the webinar “Circular Economy and Innovation towards the Green Deal

Live stream event on Zoom and IFAB YouTube.
The event will be held in Italian. Simultaneous translation will not be provided.

IFAB opens to Circular Economy by presenting the results of two surveys conducted by the University of Ferrara through Cercis – CEntre for Research on Circular economy. The research has been conducted on a sample of 4600 italian manufacturing firms and 1613 manufacturing firms in the Emilia-Romagna region specifically focused on production supply chains.  The business areas taken into account by the surveys are multiple and include: innovation activity, the evolution of business models and the investment in expertise and infrastructure required to link “circular” innovation to other large changes, such as those brought about by digitalisation via Industry 4.0.
The results show that the manufacturing sector has started a process including innovative practices, testifying that the territory is ready to face the challenges posed by the Green Deal in the decade 2020-2030, with the aim of implementing the new Employment and Climate Pact signed by 55 social partners in December 2020.
